Hello, As you know my name is Brenda Berdnik, I live in Punta Gorda, Florida with my husband Bill and our son Billy.

I am originally from the green mountains of Vermont where I have always had my hands into something art related.

I started working as a graphic artist in the media department for an Insurance Company. My work there included creating Multi-Image Slide Shows for training and sales tools. I later became the Art Director of all printed material.

I met my husband in Florida in 1982. The following year, I moved to Florida and opened an advertising agency in Lee County called Imagery Advertising a full service agency. At the time we were the second largest in Lee County and received many Addy Awards for our work.

In 1996 I opened Timeless Treasures in Punta Gorda. A Gift Gallery and Studio. At the same time I had a sales representative who sold my work throughout the Southeastern United States. I worked in watercolors, acrylics, acrylic enamels for glass, watercolor pencils to create designs for apparel, vintage textiles, quilting, and photography for stationery.

In 2001, my interest began to turn toward 3-D work. I took several workshops and classes in jewelry and began working with and forming metal. I learned techniques such as Champleve, Kumboo, Etching, and other enameling techinques. For 3 years I fine tuned my skills and joined Sea Grape Gallery, a co-op of artists.

2006 was full of excitment. It started with my entry into an art show for an ESPN Redfish tournament. I created a framed three piece brass etching of a snook, redfish, and tarpon in their habitat. That piece won 2nd place in the show and People's choice Award. Six months later I was featured with an internationally known glass artist in a two person show in a local gallery.

In 2008 I went on a bus trip to an International Minature Art Show, I walked in the door and I was hooked! The work was unbelieveable and I was already doing reverse painting on glass with my jewlery so it was a great match. In 2009 I took first place in the Mix Medium category, and had seven pieces in the International Miniature show in Wells England. Since that time my work has traveled to the Russian Federation Show, and all around United States where i have picked up a few more ribbons and pieces have found new homes.

I have expanded in many directions since then including throwing pottery in 2010. I wanted to get out of the frame and this media has let me do that. In these years I have started teaching, and increased my number of clients in by graphic design business work, as well as working with non-profits.

In 2010 I opened, The Gallery of Fine Art located in Charlotte County.

2012 brought big changes, I moved my work to Gannon's Antiques and Art a 20,000 sq ft. building located in Fort Myers, Florida. Expanded my studio space in a commercial building and home. I am now including textiles in my work and have been creating large impasto acrylic impression painting. My miniature work has expanding into watercolor, acrylic, and scratchboard work.

I am very excited about the current adventure with Richard and Ursula Gannon as they open their new store in Santa Fe, New Mexico in June 2015. Look for new textile techniques in my mixed media works, baskets will be showing up. I will be there helping them set up the gallery at the end of June to July 20th. If in the area would love to meet you.

God has blessed me with a natural talent which I try to make the most of each day. I hope my work brings pleasure to you. Thank you for looking and your comments are always welcome.
